Following the success of its collection – Euphoria, The Sunflower Department is returning to deliver a capsule collection with streetwear brand, David Blackmoore. The collection titled SUMMER FRIENDS promises a special range to celebrate the experience of the summer, shedding light on friendships, experiences, and relationships built during the summer month.
Budding streetwear brand, David Blackmoore has consistently solidified its position as one of Nigeria’s foremost streetwear brands recognized for various collections and collaborations with brands such as The Harvest Clan amongst many others. The brand’s daring aesthetics, iconic denim, and unique silhouettes have become industry favorites, seen on various stars, from Bella Shmurda to BNXN to Boy Director.
Niyi Okeowo, creative director and founder of The Sunflower Department is a multidisciplinary creative whose practice spans art direction, graphic design, 3D art, animation, photography, and branding. His plethora of works spans projects for and in collaboration with brands such as Smirnoff, Uber, and LVMH. He dropped his first collection for The Sunflower Department in 2021 titled “Euphoria“, which saw massive success.
The collection features a wide range of products, from graphic tees, denim pants, tote bags, hoodies, crop tops, and bucket hats to scarves, pins, sticker packs, key holders, and mugs. The pieces have a broad color range as well as size options to choose from.
The Summer Friends collection by The Sunflower Department and David Blackmoore has been released globally, exclusive to Garmspot, and is now available online and in physical stores.
