Garmspot is one of the fastest evolving fashion retail platforms emerging from Africa, with specialised teams that deal with garment production, online & offline retail. We are based in Victoria Island, Lagos and are currently looking for a Social Media Strategist to join our team.

The social media strategist role at Garmspot is full time on-site role that involves developing and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase our web traffic and our brand awareness for our retail platform

The ideal candidate should have excellent multitasking skills to handle all of our social media accounts in a cohesive way. If you have a creative way of thinking and of presenting our brand through multiple social media channels, we would like to make you part of our team.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement an effective social media strategy for our various social channels to align with business objectives.
  • Conduct research on current trends and preferences for our target demographic and build strategy around findings
  • Source content user generated content from our customers and partner brands.
  • Write strong engaging captions for our social media posts and occasional blog content
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, brands, and customer service to ensure brand consistency.
  • Establish relationships with social media influencers to develop a strong network.
  • Facilitate scaling brand and company awareness through various social media channels.
  • Create actionable plans to grow and maintain followers and engagement through social media platforms such as Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest, Blog and other relevant platforms.
  • Ensure progress on all platforms by using analytical tools such as Buffer or Later.
  • Prepare periodical reports on social media marketing efforts for Senior Management.
  • Communicate effectively to all stakeholders including senior management and content developers.
  • Collaborate with content team and other creatives to ensure content is informative and appealing.
  • Liaising with other departments and creatives to facilitate the creation of a holistic and effective social media strategy.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of monthly social media calendar to illustrate how content shall be posted across all our active platforms.
  • Be updated on the best practices and emerging trends in social media management.

Must Haves

  • 2+ years as a Social media strategist or manager or a similar role.
  • Experience managing social media in the fashion industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or Graduation In View (2023)
  • Proficient in using multi-social posting programs such as Hootsuite, Later, Buffer or HubSpot.
  • Relevant experience determining a target audience and how to cater unique marketing campaigns to capture their attention.

Who You Are

  • Strong prioritizing skills and an ability to quickly adjust strategy and execution in the face of new information.
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites.
  • Great communication skills in order to liaise with multiple creatives and departments.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategies and their implementation throughout various forms of outreach.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, and other social media best practices.
  • Experience analysing Facebook ads and other social ad paid platform marketing mediums.
  • Experience with social media tools like Canva and the ability to design quick simplistic post design.
  • A critical thinker with robust collaborative and problem-solving skills.

Nice to haves

  • Experience using a task manager e.g Monday.com, Asana or similar
  • Adobe Photoshop Experience
  • Experience creating eye catching reels and TikToks

The brand relation role at Garmspot is a full-time on-site role that involves developing strong relationships with our brands, connecting with key business executives and potential partners. You shall be required to manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner between management and its stakeholders within and outside the company.

The ideal candidate for this role should be able to meet ambitious individual and and team-wide deliverables and deadlines. Ultimately, a successful Brands Associate should collaborate with our retail team to achieve stocking and sales quotas.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for vendor account (Brands) management matter
  • Administer contracts and conduct onboarding for new brands.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly brand initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
  • Prepare reports on Brand Account status.
  • Collaborate with the fashion team to identify growth opportunities and build our SKUs.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Conduct research and identify new brands that fit our customer needs and arrange/schedule meetings with prospective brands.
  • Ensure adequate visibility for all brands on Online (Web, App) and Offline (Stores) channels.
  • Act as Key point of contact for brand pop ups, activations and events.

Must Haves

  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
  • Proven work experience in Client Relations or Relationship Management.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time
  • Sharp attention to detail.
  • Ability to build rapport with colleagues and other stakeholders.

  • A people person with exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders such as creatives, tech team, partner brands, and other departments.
  • Entrepreneurial with an eye for identifying business opportunities and potential synergies.
  • Fashion lover with a passion or interest for the business behind the creativity
  • Strong computer literacy skills using Google docs and task management platforms such as Monday.com, Asana or similar.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Experience in identifying target audiences while assisting to match marketing strategies with brand image.
