The fashion product developer position at Garmspot is a full-time on-site position that
requires the employee to collaborate with fashion designers, clothing manufacturing
companies, and various suppliers for goods including clothing, accessories, presents,
and stationery. You shall be required to define product specifications, create digital or print drawings, and design fully functional products.

Responsibilities

• Work with the fashion team to develop collections and drops from avid design concepts to prototypes, and batch production.
• Develop process improvements to ensure product quality and productivity in line with best practices.
• Maintain product requirements, and technical and functional documentation for reference purposes.
• Material development, sourcing and communicating with different factories internationally to source the best materials needed for our internal production.
• Conducting seasonal research to keep a close eye on fabrics and trends,
  Monitoring current sales and keeping a close eye on bestsellers are part of your research so as to make informed decisions when developing a product.
• Create and manage technical packages as required to assure documentation is current and accurate. Hand over packages to the design team.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in developing apparel including product
  specification, garment fitting, technical illustration, pattern & grading.
• Current computer hardware and software proficiency including word processing
• Skilled at specification documentation, and technical illustration including the use of appropriate Adobe software.
• Experience taking customer goods to market; from concept to manufacturing,
  including managing projects against a timeline.

Nice to haves
Experience using a task manager (e.g. Monday.com, Asana or similar).
Experience in the fashion industry.
