We Sat Down With Iretidayo Zaccheaus To Discuss Streetsouk And Streetwear In New Interview.

As the Nigerian streetwear scenes continually blooms, the most anticipated street culture and lifestyle event hinted another edition happening this year December 18th 2o19 “Street Souk“.

We caught up with the creative director Ireti discussing about her ethos, Street souk and more.

Could you tell us the next move , should we expect more from Streetsouk?

IRETI : Most definitely! Street souk is going to be an annual thing , and we are only getting bigger and better. Planning for Street souk 2019 is already underway.

What is your ethos when it comes to working ?

IRETI : My ethos is just work hard, and do everything to the best of my ability. No medicore or half way jobs allowed. If you’re going to to do anything be the best at it.

What gadget for work cant you leave without ? 

IRETI : MY PHONE ! Social media, notes, research all on my phone. So its so important, I’m also very big on having a vision and drawing it out ( even though i cant really draw) for example the merch , the stage set up and floor plan i drew on a piece of paper.

Where’s your favorite place to hang out in Nigeria?

IRETI : My favorite place to hang out is probably harvest, i spent quite a lot of my time there lol

 

What Street brands of Nigeria do you have in your closet ?

IRETI : I’ve got Motherlan , Shade of Gray, 3 Veterans , Waffles n Cream , Vivendii , Art by bello and Home Delivery to name a few.

What’s your favorite Nigerian Street wear brand ?

Wow my favorite brand,that’s a tough one.Can’t lie I can’t choose, everyone is doing so much and its all fire! keep pushing and supporting the culture but special shout out to Shade of Gray and Motherlan .
